Fr. Eric M Weldon.
Fr. Eric was born in Wichita to Jim and JoAnne Weldon. He has three siblings, Stephanie Johnston, Fr. Jim Weldon, and Ann-MarieThompson. He attended Catholic grade school at All Saints and at the Church of the Magdalen, and was graduated from Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School. Fr. Eric Earned a BA in History at the Franciscan U. of Steubenville, and while in college he enlisted in the Army Reserve, Upon graduation from Franciscan in December 1988, he attended Army Officer Candidate School at Ft. Benning and received a Reserve Commission in May 1989. After working in the business world of Life Insurance and finance, he earned a BS in Education at Newman U. and taught for one year. After completing six years of seminary study, one year at IHM at St. Mary's U in Winona and five years at the Pontifical College Josephinum, he was ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Wichita on May 27, 2000. Fr. Eric has had assignments at Our Lady of Lourdes in Pittsburg, Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, and St. Patrick's in Wichita prior to coming to St. Paul's Newman Cntr.

John Patrick Brunke, Director of Student Activities: Born and raised in Sumter, South Carolina, with two siblings, JP attended Mt. St. Mary’s College where he studied secondary math for two years. He transferred to Conception Seminary College after his sophomore year, to pursue a possible vocation to the priesthood. Upon graduating college with a Liberal Arts degree with an emphasis in math and philosophy, he volunteer taught in Pass Christian, Mississippi. At the completion of his volunteer year he went on as a full-time youth minister and part-time teacher. After meeting his future wife, a native of Kansas, he moved to Wichita and took the job of Activities Director at St. Paul/Newman Center in June 2006.

Tony Bartonek, Parish Coordinator: Born in Hoisington, Kansas, he was raised in the small farming community of Olmitz, Kansas. He has two brothers and two sisters, one being his twin sister - a former Homecoming Queen at Pittsburg State University who obviously looks nothing like him (ha, ha!). Although a recent addition to the staff in December 2004, he has been doing volunteer work around the Newman Center since the 1980s. His favorite things to do include reading, ornithology and embedded controllers.
Janet Katherine Grabendike, Office Manager: Born in Wichita, Kansas, and has lived here all of her life. She has been a widow since 1998 and has seven children and eight grandchildren. She has worked at the Newman Center as the Office Manager since 2001. Her favorite things to do are watching old movies, crocheting and babysitting for her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
